Watson Temple CDC
Established in 1930, Watson Temple is a member of the Church of God in Christ, Inc. and is its first church in Tallahassee, Florida. The Church of God in Christ is the largest Pentecostal church organization in America and is in every continent of the world including many of the islands. Founded by Charles Harrison Mason in 1897, the membership has grown to over 5.2 million.
The Church of God in Christ, with its headquarters in Memphis, Tennessee, is led by a progressive, prudent, and humble leader, the Presiding Bishop Charles Edward Blake of Los Angeles, California. Within the state of Florida, Watson Temple is a member of the Western Florida Jurisdiction of the Church of God in Christ. Its anointed and illustrious leader is the Bishop Willie J. Matheney of New Port Richey, Florida.
In the Tallahassee area, Watson Temple is a part of the Big Bend District of its Jurisdiction. The district is led by an astute man of God, Superintendent Dr. Ronald McCloud of Quincy, Florida. Watson Temple is strategically situated, not only in the capital city of fabulous Florida, but practically on Florida State University’s campus and about a mile away from Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University.
